Free 21st Birthday Beer at Hofbräuhaus

It has been quite awhile since I've been to Hofbräuhaus , which is still my favorite place to get my drink on!  Whether you're a tourist or local, I highly recommend coming here dine, drink, and have fun! They have a special right now where you can enjoy one liter of beer for FREE on your 21st birthday!  I  suggest taking advantage of this deal!  Also, be sure to participate in the festivities while you're there. I had come to Hofbräuhaus on one of my "21st" birthdays and had a blast, this was definitely one of my most unforgettable birthdays.  Just thinking about the first time I had their beer brings a smile to my face :) If you didn't know, Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is the first German/Bavarian beer hall and restaurant in Las Vegas. This faithful reproduction of the world’s most famous beer hall, the original, centuries-old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany , is an authentic and entertaining blend of tradition and fun.

Truckers In The Wild - Las Vegas Episode

I just watched on  VICE  their awesome new food show called Truckers in the Wild , about the culture of food trucks (a scene I'm still fairly new to).  In the series, the two chef hosts, Max and Eli Sussman, travel around the country to visit some of the best food trucks in the US - one of which includes Haulin' Balls in Las Vegas. *Please check out the mini episode here: http://www.vice.com/truckers-in-the-wild/las-vegas-truckers-in-the-wild .  Enjoy!

Egg Works

I had eaten at  Egg Works  way back on the morning of St. Patrick's Day .  I remember it was busy with a about a 20 minute wait.  The wait wasn't boring at all because I got to see people's festive green clothing everywhere! I loved the plentiful egg dishes to choose from the menu: Some of the meals came with their homemade banana nut muffin: My husband got the Works Veggie Benny - Comes with a English muffin , topped with grilled tomatoes, fresh spinach, sliced avocado, two poached eggs, and hollandaise  sauce, with a side of Works potatoes: My friend ordered the Loco Moco  with a side of pineapple: As for me I got one of the special omelets with plenty of vegetables, and a side of Works potatoes and banana nut muffin.  My dish was egg-ceptional!: I'm all about eating more at local businesses, and Egg Works/The Egg & I is one of them!  Come to any of the four locations  for a hearty breakfast :) ...

Sushi Roku

Last week I attended  Sushi Roku 's event of previewing some items from their 2013 Summer Break menu before it's public debut on Memorial Day Weekend!  It was truly an honor to be invited :) At the event, they continuously served samples throughout the evening!  Just when you thought they stopped serving a certain item, it would come back within a few minutes.  This salmon nigiri was truly a delight, the tomatoes on top complimented the salmon quite well.  I couldn't refuse this sushi every time I was offered it: This chicken salad Chinois had a light dressing, perfect for summer!: Kobe Meatballs topped with masago cream sauce.  This meatball was a bit crispy and the sauce added a nice balance to the flavors: A couple cocktails were served including this Pineapple Fusion .  This drink is made with a 12 year old rum, pineapple, vanilla bean, cinnamon, and brown sugar.  This truly is the best mixed drink I've had ...

Emerald at Queensridge

On Pi Day, I attended my friends' wedding at  Emerald at Queensridge .   I found this place to be simply elegant!  As for the food, I liked how the meats were cooked.  Its usually a hit or miss when it comes to eating meats at weddings.  The meats are either cooked correctly or dry!  I was relieved this venue knew the right way to cook the meats for a 100+ guests. Beautiful setup An epic salad display Bread rolls A nice light dinner.  The meats were nicely cooked and juicy, not dry at all! Simple wedding cake Looking for a place to hold your wedding ceremony and reception?  I recommend checking this venue out!

Café Zupas on Eastern Ave.

Last week I attended  Cafe Zupas ' VIP party for local bloggers and tech-savvy food lovers.  I really didn't know what to expect only that I knew that they specialize in sandwiches, soups, and salads, and that they're based from Utah.  Upon arriving we were greeted by the staff, who were all friendly and knowledgeable.  They suggested for us to choose the Try 2 Combo.  I decided to go with a sandwich and salad and my husband chose a sandwich and soup: The salads were made right in front of us: They let us choose our own desserts: Our meals: I got the Thai Mango Chicken Salad .  I was surprised by how much flavor was in every bite!  This came with chicken, mango, Thai peanut sauce, bell peppers, red onions, peanuts, wonton strips, iceberg lettuce, and House-Made sesame ginger dressing.  Even though there wasn't too much dressing and Thai peanut sauce, they absolutely were the reasons that made this salad amazing...
